Review: Searching (No Spoilers)

By Angel

Movie description: “After his 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a desperate father breaks into her laptop to look for clues to find her.”

An impressive missing person thriller that explores and cautions the dangers of the internet. It had me completely tense on the edge of my seat and felt refreshing as it is constructed with exceptional editing. If you are searching for an example of innovative filmmaking that triggers intense emotions, this is it. The evolution of life and information through the digital era is captured perfectly which makes it culturally relevant. The performances are strong and I did not see the eerie twist coming at all!

A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else. You don’t always know your kid and that’s never your fault. Problems don’t fix themselves, talk through them.
